FENDERS USED TO PROTECT M/Y HELIOS

To protect its hull from damage, the M/Y
Helios crew uses Aeré inflatable fenders.
No matter the size of the craft, space is at a premium. Aeré inflatable fenders work because they fold flat when not in use, requiring minimal space. They also inflate and deflate quickly, which is important when the yacht puts into port.
According to Relief 2nd Mate Ben Hart, each member of the crew has a vital job to perform. The fenders are lightweight and can be handled by one person even when fully inflated. He also appreciates the fact that the fenders will not scuff or leave marks on the hull. “The fenders are incredibly important in keeping the ship safe,” he said. “And it makes it easier on everyone that it only takes one person to handle them.”
In tight spots where there is little room between the boat and the dock, Hart places the fender in the space and inflates it to safely push the boat away from the dock. He uses the Heavy Duty Flat Inflatable Fender in wharf situations.
